Helsinki: US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin may meet again in Helsinki in early 2019, reported Helsingin Sanomat, a Finnish leading newspaper.
The venue for the meeting would be a summit over arctic issues, as Finland is currently the chair of the Arctic Council, and Trump’s participation would likely be decided after U.S. mid-term elections on November 6.
Organizers are already looking at dates for the summit, with one option being the Valentine’s Day week in February.
The two presidents met in Helsinki back in July and the summit was followed by adverse reactions in the United States over Trump’s cordial public tone with the Kremlin leader. (UNI)
