Washington: US entrepreneur Elon Musk said on Tuesday that he was ready to have a role in the US government if such an offer is made.
On Monday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he was open to consider Musk for a cabinet position or as a potential adviser if he is elected US president in November.
Last week, Musk interviewed Trump on the Spaces platform on X. In July, he posted a statement on X supporting Trump in the presidential race.
The US presidential election is scheduled to be held on November 5. In July, incumbent US President Joe Biden said he was withdrawing from the 2024 election in the best interest of the Democratic Party and the nation. He endorsed Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee, which she accepted.
