Ayodhya (UP): Union Minister Smriti Irani on Sunday worshipped Ram Lalla at the Ayodhya temple of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi and later paid obeisance at the famous Hanuman Garhi temple.

The Amethi MP, who is likely to file her nomination on Monday, said she felt "blessed for her good fortune to be able to come to the land of religion, patience, loyalty and rule, and bravery of course".

"Today I consider myself lucky to have been born in such an era when our Ram Lalla was transferred from a tent to a grand temple in a grand ceremony. Today, getting the blessings from the saints boosts my morale besides inspiring me to walk on the path of virtue," she added.

After worshipping Lord Ram, the Union Minister paid obeisance at the famous Hanuman Garhi temple and also met President of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Nritya Gopal Das, and Mahant of Maniramdas Chhavani and sought their blessings.

She said, "I have come to attend Hanuman ji's court praying for the good health of the 'servant' -- our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and glory of India. I seek Hanumanji's blessings to instil in me the spirit of service."

Speaking for every "Sanatani (Hindu)", the minister said "coming to the land of Ayodhya is a matter of pride as compassion of Ram Lalla touches every heart today".

Terming "the chance of a life" of being able to see Lord Ram being worshiped in the grand temple as the biggest good fortune for any Ram bhakt, she said: "I became emotional after seeing Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram and sought his divine blessings for the welfare of the country."
