Devotees from Etah hand over 2,400 kg bell to Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, its sound can reach up to 10 km

Ayodhya (UP): Residents of Jalesar town in Etah district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday handed over a 2,400-kilogram bell to the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust.
 
It is claimed that the sound of this bell, crafted in a single casting, will reach up to 10 kilometres. Besides, seven more bells, each weighing 51 kilograms, were also presented.
 
Around 500 devotees, including Aditya Mittal, Manoj, Rishank, Prashant Mittal, handed over the bells to the temple Trust's Secretary, Champat Rai, Dinesh Chandra of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Rajendra Singh Pankaj among others at Karsewak Puram in Ayodhya.

The Pran Prathista (consecration ceremony) of Ram Temple will take place with much fanfare at 12:20 pm IST on 22 January 2024.

The Vedic rituals for the consecration ceremony will begin on January 16, a week before the opening of the temple.

The main rituals will be performed by Ganeshwar Shastri and Lakshmi Kant Dixit, the Trust said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the grand opening of the Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22 along with several dignitaries invited by the temple trust.
