11-year-old accidentally kills teen with thread cutter in Kanpur factory

Kanpur: In a shocking incident in Kanpur’s Chakeri area, an 11-year-old boy accidentally killed a 15-year-old teenager while playing in a local factory.

The child, who was holding a thread cutter, unintentionally struck the teenager in the chest, fatally injuring him near the heart.

The deceased, Surjeet Kumar, son of daily wage labourer Kallu, was a resident of Patel Nagar’s Kachchi Basti.

The younger child, who was holding a thread cutter, accidentally stabbed Surjeet, while playing, near his chest.

Surjeet collapsed on the spot. Factory owner Akash Kumar rushed him to Kanshiram Hospital, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.

Inspector Santosh Kumar Shukla confirmed the incident on Wednesday morning. He said the body has been sent for postmortem and that further action will be taken based on the autopsy report and the family's official complaint.
