22 dead in stampede at Elphinstone Road (Live)

Mumbai: At least 22 peoples died and over 30 others were injured in a stampede at Elphinstone Road station foot-over bridge on Friday. The incident occurred around 1045 hrs.

The injured are taken to the BMC run KEM Hospital. Heavy rains triggered chaos resulting in stampede, sources said. The incident occurred at decade-old, narrow bridge at the Elphinstone Road, that connects western and central railway. Further details are awaited, sources added. (UNI)
