Ayodhya: Devotees will lit more than four lakh earthen lamps, filled with 25,000 liter mustard oil, to celebrate Deepotsav.Preparations are on full swing and orders for lamps and oil have been placed, sources said. As per mythological believe, Ayodhya was all decked up on returning of Lord Ram after victory on Ravan. Since then whole country celebrates the day as symbol of triumph of good over evil.
E-tenders will be open on October 14 for purchase of lamps, oil and other things. About 1.5 times more lamps and other essentials will be purchased this time.
As the Yogi Adityanath government is emphasising on religious tourism to explore opportunities in the sector, in same lines, several festivals are being organised on grand level to attract more foreign tourist and highlight the rich Indian culture.(UNI)
