6 including 3 women dead after Dargah wall collapses behind Humayun tomb in Delhi (VIDEO)

New Delhi: As many as six persons, including three women, were killed while six others sustained injuries after a wall of Dargah Fateh (behind Humayun Tomb) collapsed in South East Delhi's Nijamuddin on Friday evening.

The incident occurred behind Humayun's Tomb in Hazrat Nizamuddin.

Police stated that they received a call regarding the incident at around 4 PM.

A senior police official said that twelve people were trapped under the debris. All were rescued by the police, fire department, and CATS Ambulance personnel.

"SHO and local staff rushed on the spot and reached there within five minutes and started the rescue. In sometime Fire personnel and CATS ambulances also reached the spot. Later, NDRF also joined the rescue efforts," said a senior police official.

The official said that a total twelve persons were rescued from the debris and sent to AIIMS Trauma and LNJP.

Six of them later died during treatment. Three of the deceased were identified as Saroop (79), Moinuddin (35)and Mohammad Arif (35).

The police were yet to establish the identity of the three women who were killed in the incident.

The rescue operation is on.
