Puducherry:Eswarankoil temple officials in Gandhi street has found Rs 1.5 lakh in the savings bank account of a septuagenarain woman who was a beggar in Puducherry.
According to sources, the temple officials decided to open some of its shops which were closed and for the purpose evicted the beggars who settled there.
 
When they evicted a 70-year-old woman, they found more than Rs.20,000 in her bags. Further, a savings bank pass book was also noticed and in which it  was shown that she had a Rs 1.5 lakh in her account.The woman was identified as Parvathy of Saram Venkateswara Nagar here.(UNI)
