On the prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Vaidya said, "Threadbare discussions were held on the situation and vital inputs were also received." "Similar happenings taking place in Bengal were also discussed in detail and a resolution was passed on dealing terrorists and terrorism with iron hands, on which the participants agreed in one voice," the RSS leader said.

On the settlement of foreigners, including Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Jammu, Dr Vaidya said, "It is a matter of national security and all political parties leaving aside their vested interests must jointly stand up for the concern." Asserting that demography is changing in Assam, he said, "They must be identified and deported. RSS have already said that these are 'illegal intruders and should be sent back'." On "gau rakshaks", he said, "we have already cleared our stand

. 'Gau raksha' is something different, but it should be done in a peaceful manner." "Instead of connecting Sangh with such incidents, probe should be ordered, action must be taken against guilty as per law," he said. On the role of Sangh in Ram Nath Kovind's victory as the new Indian President, he said, "He is a BJP man. RSS has no role." He, however, also said that this year around 60 such camps were organised in the country during summer vacations wherein 18,500 students participated, out of which 15,816 were between age group of 15 to 40 years.

He said that issues like declining water level, casteism, protection of special cows, construction of 'gaushalas' and security matters were also discussed in detail during the conclave. Meanwhile, top leadership from across the country participated in the sammelan. According to sources, during week-long exercise of RSS started on July 14, prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir, strengthening of ‘Hindutva’ in the country and measures required to counter Wahhabism were also discussed. (UNI)
