AAP declares candidates for the upcoming MCD by-election in five seats

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party today announced the names of the candidates for the five seats of the upcoming MCD by-election which will be held on February 28.

All these leaders have worked for the people of Delhi in their respective areas. To honour their contribution in taking forward the development work and pro-people policies of the Kejriwal government the Aam Aadmi Party has selected these candidates.
 
List of candidates and wards
 
1) Dhirendra (Bunty Gautam), Ward Kalyanpuri 8E
2) Vijay Kumar, Ward Trilokpuri East 2E
3) Mohammad Isharaq Khan, Former MLA Seelampur, Ward Chauhan Bangar 41 E
4) Ram Chandra, Former MLA Bawana, Ward Rohini C32N
5) Sunita Mishra, Ward Shalimar Bagh - North 62 N.
 
Dhirendra (Bunty Gautam) is a senior AAP leader from Kondli. He has done remarkable work in the time of COVID pandemic. He cooked food for the poor, distributed food to the labourers and slum dwellers. Bunty Gautam has been a part of the AAP from the time of formation. 
 
Vijay Kumar has been the secretary of the All India Safai Mazdoor Union and Dr B R Ambedka Janmahotsav Committee. Vijay has been the Vice President of the MCD sanitation workers' union. He also runs animal shelters for animal health facilities in Trilokpuri. He has been involved in providing education to poor people of the area.
 
Sunita Mishra is the Shalimar Bagh ward's Mohalla coordinator and also secretary of women's wing of Shalimar Bagh assembly
