Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Ludhiana West Gurpreet Bassi Gogi died late Friday night after he shot himself accidentally, police said.Sources said that the incident occurred when Gogi was cleaning his licensed pistol.ADCP Jaskaran Singh told media that Gogi's family members have told that he had his dinner and earlier in the evening he met AAP's Rajysabha MP Balbir Singh Seenchewal. There was nothing abnormal or unusual about his behaviour.
After the incident, his family members and police rushed him to the DMC hospital where he was declared dead.AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP Punjab Chief Aman Arora have expressed grief over the demise of the MLA.(UNI)<>
