After 4 Punjab districts, Muktsar too heading to be corona-free

Muktsar:After Sangrur, Moga, Maheli and Ferozepur in Punjab, now Muktsar is also going to become a Corona-free district.

Friday brought relief and happiness for the people of Muktsar. No corona-positive patient was reported in the district after the remaining seven positive patients were discharged from Covid 19 Hospital, Muktsar.

This information was given by civil surgeon Dr. H N Singh here Saturday.

He said remaining seven patients affected with the virus were discharged from hospital Saturday for recovery. He said all 66 patients found positive in the district have recovered and gone to their homes. 

He credited this to the hardworking doctors and staff of the hospital along with the civil and police administration.

Notably, till May 6, 66 patients were found positive in Muktsar district, but after May 6, no positive patient was found in the district. Dr. Singh said till May 22, samples of a total of 2036 patients were taken, out of which 1691 reports came negative while reports of 279 people are awaited.(UNI)
