After Delhi, partial ban on fire crackers in Mumbai

Mumbai : The Bombay High Court has imposed a ban on the sale of fire crackers in residential areas in Maharashtra.

In an order passed on Tuesday, the HC also said the licences given to shopkeepers who sell crackers in residential areas should be cancelled. To sell in other areas, the licence limit has been ordered to be reduced to 50 per cent. (UNI)
