Agitation for Maratha Reservation begins in Aurangabad

Aurangabad:A sit-in agitation demanding reservation was started on behalf of the Maratha community at Sashtapimpalgaon in Jalna district of Marathwada region of Maharashtra.

According to reports, the decision was taken after the hearing in the matter was postponed by Supreme Court yesterday to February 5. Irate villagers marched through the village with tractors, bullock carts and Lezim squad.The villagers have warned that the agitation will continue till the Maratha community gets reservation.
 
The agitators have demanded 16 per cent reservation to the community and said that if they do not get this reservation, then the percentage of OBC reservation quota be increased and reservation given to the Maratha community.(UNI)
