Jaipur: After the implementation of the Code of Conduct in Rajasthan in view of the upcoming assembly general elections to be held on November 25, illegal liquor, cash, and other materials worth about rupees 304 crore have been seized in the state in the last 17 days.
The seizure till now is 43 percent more than during the assembly elections.
According to State Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta, this information has been given in the reports issued by different agencies in the state.
During this period, illegal material worth rupees 54.53 crore was seized in Jaipur district.
Similarly, 17.86 crores in Udaipur, 15.86 crores in Alwar, 14.43 crores in Bhilwara, 14.36 crores in Banswara, 13.53 crores in Jodhpur, 11.66 crores in Chittorgarh, 11.44 crores in Barmer, 10.91 crores in Nagaur, illegal materials worth rupees 10 crore were seized in Bundi, rupees 9.64 crore in Ganganagar, and rupees 9.44 crore in Hanumangarh district.
Similarly, illegal material was seized in other districts.
He said that in the last 24 hours, illegal materials worth more than rupees 1 crore have been seized in seven districts: Udaipur, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, Sirohi, Nagaur, and Jalore. (UNI)
