Amarnath yatra: pilgrim dies, toll touches 23 since June 28

Srinagar: A yatri from Maharashtra died of cardiac arrest near the holy cave on Saturday night, official sources said on Sunday.
With this, a total of 21 pilgrims and two service providers have died during the commencement of the 60-day-long annual pilgrimage from June 28 from both traditional Pahalgam and shortest Baltal tracks.
 
A yatri identified as 60-year-old Pandlik Panduraj, resident of Aurangabad, Maharashtra, suffered a massive cardiac arrest near the cave shrine after paying obeisance last night. He was immediately rushed to nearby medical camp, where he was declared brought dead.(UNI)
