Kakinada: The Railways has announced that it will operate special trains for the Maha Kumbh Mela in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj from Kakinada on February 8 and 20.
Already the Railways had announced the operation of a special train to Kumbh Mela on February 20 with AC coaches.
However, keeping in view the demand from pilgrims, Kakinada MP Udaya Srinivas wrote a letter to the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and at the intervention of the Minister it was agreed to operate a second train much before, on February 8.
The special train contains AC coaches and sleeper coaches.
The special train would leave kakinada on February 8 at 2.30 pm and reach Prayagraj within two days.
