Chandigarh: The Punjab Police on Wednesday claimed to have unearthed an espionage network linked to yet another YouTuber and vlogger.

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, in an X post said that the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC), Mohali unearthed this network linked to Jasbir Singh, a resident of Village Mahlan, Rupnagar, who operates a YouTube channel called 'Jaan Mahal'.

According to police, Jasbir Singh has been found associated with Pakistani intelligence operative Shakir alias Jutt Randhawa, who is part of a terror-linked espionage network.

Police said Jasbir Singh maintained close contact with Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra (arrested on the charges of spying) and Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a Pakistani national and an expelled Pak High Commission official.

According to the police, investigations have revealed that Jasbir Singh attended the Pakistan National Day event in Delhi on Danish’s invitation, where he met Pakistani Army officers and vloggers. He travelled to Pakistan on three occasions in 2020, 2021, 2024, and his electronic devices contained multiple Pakistan-based numbers, now under detailed forensic scrutiny.

Police said that after Jyoti Malhotra’s arrest, Jasbir attempted to erase all traces of his communication with these PIOs to avoid detection.

"An FIR has been registered at SSOC, Mohali and investigations are on," DGP said.
