New Delhi:India on Wednesday firmly said that any bus service through Pakistan Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoK) will be a "violation of India's sovereignty and territorial integrity" and maintained New Delhi has already lodged 'strong protest' on the same.
"We have lodged strong protests with China and Pakistan on the proposed bus service that will operate through Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir under the so-called 'China-Pakistan Economic Corridor'," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar told reporters in response to a query.

"It is Government of India's consistent and well-known position that the so-called China-Pakistan "Boundary Agreement" of 1963 is illegal and invalid, and has never been recognised by the Government of India," he said.

Therefore, Mr Kumar asserted: "....any such bus service through Pakistan Occupied Jammu & Kashmir will be a violation of India's sovereignty and territorial integrity".

The remarks from the MEA spokesman comes in the wake of media reports that said China and Pakistan will launch a new bus service through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under the CPEC project and will run through 'PoK'. (UNI)
