Thiruvananthapuram:Mr Arif Mohammed Khan was sworn in as the new Governor of Kerala here on Friday.
State High Court Chief Justice Hrishikesh Roy administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Khan at a function held in Raj Bhavan at 1100 hours.Mr Khan took oath in Malayalam and in the name of God.
He is the 22nd Governor of the State.Assembly Speaker P Sreeramakrishnan, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala, State Cabinet Ministers Kadakampally Surendran, Kadannapally Ramachandran, K Raju, KT Jaleel, Mercykutty Amma, MM Mani, Dr TM Thomas Isaac, KK Shailaja, EP Jayarajan, TP Ramakrishnan, lone BJP MLA O Rajagopal, Chief Secretary Tom Jose, top IAS, IPS and Defence officials participated in the function.(UNI)
