Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday directed the Disaster Management Department to be vigilant as Southwest monsoon has set in over the state with heavy rains lashing Mumbai and coastal districts since last night.

The Meteorological Department has announced the arrival of monsoon and forecast moderate to heavy rains for the next three days.

He also instructed to see to it that no other form of patient care, including Covid, gets disrupted.

Mr Thackeray has also directed the police and other agencies to take immediate action to ensure that pumping stations in Mumbai remain operational and the stagnant water is pumped out immediately. (UNI)
