Udupi: Welcoming the recent Supreme Court verdict on the Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit case, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has said that as Vatican city is for Christians and Mecca for Muslims, the Ram Mandir should be established as a main pilgrimage center for the Hindus.
Speaking to the media here on Friday night, he said "Sri Vishwesha Thirtha Swamiji and many other Hindu leaders dreamt to build Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The Supreme Court has instructed to form a Trust and the Union government should include senior Swamis and Hindu leaders, to oversee the construction. ''Ayodhya is not only for Ram Mandir, it should become the monument for Vedic tradition of Hindu religion,'' he added.
''Lord Ram was the ancestor not only of Hindus, but also of Muslims. Both Hindus and Muslims should help each other to build the temple and the Mosque.Welcoming the ruling that five acres of land should be provided for construction of Mosque in Ayodhya, he said ''Hindus should help in the construction of a Mosque.''
''The Ram Temple construction at Ayodhya should start on Ram Navami day and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should lay the foundation stone for construction of the Temple,'' he added.
Commenting over the statement of Asaduddin Owaisi over dissatisfaction with the verdict in the Ayodhya title suit, Baba Ramdev said ''Owaisi is always a negative-minded person and he is filled with hatred. He is trying to create clashes between Hindus and Muslims, but our priority should be to maintain Peace and Unity.''(UNI)
