Assassination plot on PM: Revolutionary writer Varavara Rao arrested

Hyderabad: Revolutionary writer P.Varavara Rao was arrested by Pune police from his Gandhinagar residence here on Tuesday in connection with the incriminating letter about Maoists' plot to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Viplava Rachayitula Sangham (Virasam), Revolutionary writers association leader Varavara Rao was taken in a police vehicle after he was arrested in Gandhi Hospital for health check up.
 
Pune police suspect that his name is mentioned in the letter containing the Maoists plot to assassinate Mr Modi and recovered several documents during the seven-hour search at the residence of  Rao.
 
The letter was seized from a Delhi-based activist Rona  Wilson based on  which the police took up the investigation into the alleged assassination  plot. (UNI)
