New Delhi: With an aim to give insight to the media persons about the scientific aspects of yoga and its benefits for human health, the Ministry of Ayush is organising 3rd National Health Editors' Conference on Yoga at Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) on June 5, 2018.
To be inaugurated by the Minister of State for Ayush Shripad Yesso Naik, this conference is focused on 'Evidence Based Recent Innovative Research on Yoga ? A Review of Yoga Research'.
More than 100 Health Editors from National and Regional media organisations are expected to attend the conference. Eminent Experts of Yoga and Allied Sciences like Dr HR Nagendra, Chancellor, SVYASA University, Dr W Selvamurthy, Director General - Amity Directorate of Science & Innovation, former distinguished scientist and Chief Controller of DRDO and Dr Shivarama Varambally MD and Additional Professor, NIMHANS will present Research Papers on Yoga.
One of the main highlights of the Conference is a workshop on "How to Manage Stress through Yoga". The Workshop will be conducted by Dr IV Basavaraddi, Director, MDNIY along with Yoga experts.The Ministry of Ayush is organising this event in collaboration with Press Information Bureau and MDNIY.(UNI)
