Chennai: Amid growing friction and fissures in the alliance, the main Opposition AIADMK in Tamil Nadu on Monday snapped its ties with the BJP and walked out of the BJP-led NDA alliance.
An unanimous resolution was adopted at an emergency meeting of the senior party functionaries, headquarters secretaries, MPs and MLAs, chaired by AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Edappadi K.Palaniswami. (UNI)
