Bihar: 6 people returning from Maha Kumbh killed in road accident

Arah: Six people from Patna were killed in a road accident in the Jagdishpur police station area in Bhojpur district on Friday morning, police sources said here.

Police sources said that the incident took place on Friday morning when some devotees of Bihar were returning after taking the Maha Kumbh bath in Prayagraj.

Police sources said that at least six people were killed in an accident when the car they were travelling in collided with a parked truck near Dulhanganj market on R-Mohaniya National Highway in Jagdishpur police station area in Bhojpur district on Friday morning.

The accident took place probably when the driver of the car reportedly fell asleep while driving, police said.

All the six devotees died on the spot, the bodies have been sent for postmortem. The identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained.
