New Delhi: The BJP National Executive on Sunday adopted a political resolution that pledges to ensure a ‘terror free, poverty free and corruption free’ India by the year 2022.
The resolution moved by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and seconded among others by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “adbhoot netrita (unique and inspiring leadership)” in creating a roadmap for New India.
Moving the resolution amid thumping of desks and applause by party leaders, Rajnath Singh said: “chalo kamal khilae (Come, let us make Lotus bloom across India)”.
Briefing reporters, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said there is a “general approval from the society” for an era of good governance unleashed by the Modi government.
The resolution exuded confidence that the party will win the 2019 elections with bigger margin. (UNI)
