New Delhi: The BJP Parliamentary Board today decided to field party chief Amit Shah and Union Minister Smriti Irani to contest for Rajya Sabha biennial elections.
BJP General Secretary JP Nadda made the announcement minutes after the Parliamentary Board took the decision. Another BJP leader Nalin Kohili said it is only in the fitness of things that Mr Shah, who is now focused on national politics as the party chief, is now shifting to the parliamentary politics.
