Normal 0 false false false EN-IN X-NONE HI New Delhi: The Congress on Sunday accused the ruling BJP of trying to 'destabilise' the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JJM)-led government in Jharkhand, which the party was part of.

The grand old party has also suspended three of its MLAs from the state, who were intercepted by the police in West Bengal's Howrah district with huge cash on Saturday, which it accused the MLAs of being hand-in-glove with the top leaders of the saffron party.

"A conspiracy is being hatched by the BJP to 'destabilise' the elected government in Jharkhand. The states where BJP could not come to power through elections, they used various means and toppled the government. We had seen this in Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra. Now, they are trying to do it in Jharkhand," Congress head of media and publicity department Pawan Khera said at a press conference at the party headquarters here.

Accusing BJP of 'misusing' the Central probe agencies, Khera said, "The agencies have stopped doing what they should have done. They have become a part of the BJP cell. It is not the work of the agencies to destabilise an elected government."

Endorsing Khera, his party colleague and party's Jharkhand In-charge Avinash Pande said, "It is a matter of concern the way BJP is trying to destablisise the elected government by using ED and other means. BJP is trying to 'topple' government where it is not in power in that state and form their own.

"Our three MLAs who were caught with yesterday with huge cash, they were involved in the conspiracy. Our national president has suspended them from the party. Action will be taken if anyone is found involved," he said.

"There is no threat to the coalition government in Jharkhand. It is safe and stable, and it will complete it's full tenure," he added. (UNI)
