New Delhi: Cracking the whip against its Deputy Superintendent of Police Devender Kumar, who has been booked along with Special Director Rakesh Asthana following a complaint of harassment and extortion of crores of rupees, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday arrested the senior official.
Kumar, who was earlier the Investigating Officer (IO) in the meat exporter Moin Qureshi's case, was arrested by the agency for the creation of a 'fabricated statement' of Satish Sana, a witness in the Qureshi case, showing it to be recorded on September 26 at Delhi.
The CBI on Monday said that during the investigation it was found that Sana was not present in Delhi on that day and was in Hyderabad.(UNI)
