Imphal:CBI raided the residences of former Chief Minister O Ibobi at Thoubal and Imphal on Friday.
Sources said since early morning today CBI personnel came at the two places and conducted raids.All Congress MLAs including O Ibobi are now camping in New Delhi to urge central Government to protect Manipur during talks with Naga militants and not to introduce CAB in the Parliament.
Congressspokesperson Ningombam Bupenda Meitei today said CBI raiding former Chief Minister of Manipur Okram Ibobi Singh's official and private residences in Imphal and Thoubal of Manipur before Congress MLAs' protest against Modi Goverment on Citizenship Amendment Bill and Naga Accord at Jantar Mantar, Delhi today, reflects a clear political vendetta to intimidate Ibobi Singh and Congress' opposition.
Any action to scuttle our democratic voices will remain unsuccessful as we struggle with the people of Manipur to protect and safeguard Manipur, he added.There was no official statement about the raids so far.(UNI)
