Ceasefire Violation: 2 Dozen Pak Soldiers Killed, 4 Indian Soldiers martyred

Uri: Indian soldiers displayed their gallant effort and gunned down around two dozen Pakistan soldiers in retaliatory fire after a ceasefire violation at LOC. Besides 8 bunkers and 4 posts and an oil depo was also neutralized.

Official sources told that Pakistani troops, violating the 2003 ceasefire, fired mortar shells on Friday afternoon, targeting forward posts and civilian areas in Uri, Baramulla.

Earlier, Three Army soldiers and a BSF officer and three civilians were killed and several others were injured besides scores of houses were damaged in Pak shelling in Uri in Baramulla and Tangdhar in Kupwara and Poonch in Jammu region.

As per the official statement of Indian Army" Pakistan initiated unprovoked Ceasefire Violation along the LoC spread across multiple sectors to include Dawar, Keran, Uri & Naugam. Pakistan used Mortars & other weapons. Pakistan deliberately targeted civilian areas.Three Indian Army soldiers have been Killed in Action (KIA) and three soldiers injured. The Nation salutes their supreme sacrifice.
 
Indian troops retaliated strongly causing substantial damage to Pakistan Army's infrastructure and casualities across the LoC. Several ammunition dumps, FOL dumps and multiple terrorists launch pads have been damaged.
