Chandrababu Naidu sworn-in as Andhra CM, in presence of PM Modi

Vijayawada:Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu was sworn-in as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.Chandrababu Naidu and his council of Ministers including actor-turned-politician Jana Sena chief K Pawan Kalyan, Naidu’s son N Lokesh took oath at around 11.27 am.

State Governor S Abdul Nazeer administered the oath of office to Naidu and his Council of Ministers. The swearing-in ceremony was organized in a spectacular manner near Kesarapalli village opposite Gannavaram airport, about 16 km from here.

The 24 Ministers, who took oath along with Naidu are: Nara Lokesh, Pawan Kalyan, Kinjerapu Atchen Naidu, Kollu Ravindra, Nadendla Manohar, P Narayana, Vangalapudi Anitha, Satya Kumar Yadav, Nimmala Rama Naidu, NMD Farooq, Anam Ramanarayan Reddy, Payyavula Kesav, Anagani Satya Prasad, Kolusu Parthasarathy, Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy, Gottipati Ravi Kumar, Kandula Durgesh, Gummadi Sandhyarani, BC Jardhan Reddy, TG Bharath, S Savitha, Vasamsetti Subhash, Kondapalli Srinivas and Mandipalli Ram Prasad Reddy.

This is the fourth time Chandrababu Naidu took oath as Chief Minister of the state.The TDP won 135 MLA seats, the Jana Sena won 21 seats, the BJP won eight seats and the YSRCP 11.

Prominent persons present at the swearing-in ceremony were Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, former Telangana Governor Tamilsai, Union Ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Nitin Gatkari, Bandi Sanjay, K Ram Mohan Naidu, popular film heroes Rajanikanth, K Chiranjeevi, former Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Tamil Nadu former CM O Panneerselvam and former Supreme Court Chief Justice NV Ramana.(UNI) <>
