CISF officer killed in Srinagar shootout

Srinagar:A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer was killed in a shootout inside a grid station in Srinagar outskirts on Saturday, official sources said.

They said there was a firing incident in grid station Wagoora in the city outskirts in which an Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of CISF Rajesh Kumar injured at 0300 hrs. The injured was rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.

It was not immediately clear whether it was a militant attack, they said, adding that investigation has already been initiated. (UNI)
