New Delhi: A Communist turned BJP dalit leader from Lucknow Kaushal Kishore was inducted into union council of ministers in Narendra Modi government 2.0 as minister of state.
Kishore (61) can be a threat to any administration or government as he takes to streets on every petty issue concerning the general public and garnering support for them and from them.
Representing the dalit (Pasi) community, he joined CPI and contested unsuccessfully from Malihabad assembly seat in Lucknow.
Later he formed his own political outfit Rashtravadi Community Party and won from Malihabad assembly seat in 2002 and became minister in the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in 2002-07.
Before 2014 Lok Sabha polls, he joined the BJP and contested from Mohanlalganj (reserved) seat in Lucknow. He won the seat and later won it in 2019 also.
Recently he was appointed president of the UP BJP SC morcha.
His childhood and young days were full of struggle due to abject poverty of his family.
He was also involved in a brawl related to kidnapping of his daughter-in-law. (UNI)
