Thane: The Thane Congress today warned that it would not allow the controversial movie 'Indu Sarkar', by Madhur Bhandarkar to be screened in Thane if the producer failed to get clearance for the same from the Congress leaders. The state MPCC Secretary Balkrishna Purnekar said in an official statement that the Congress would not allow Bhandarkar to enter the city if he failed to come up to their expectations.

After Pune and Nagpur the agitation has now reached Thane district too. Mr Purnekar reiterated that the producer should show the movie to the senior Congress leaders and only after clearance from them, the film would be allowed to be screened in the city. He said that there was an apprehension that the film, set during the Emergency days in India from 1975 to 1977, was a distortion of facts. (UNI)
