Sulthan Bathery: The police has registered a case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) against Congress leader O N George for alleged sexual abuse of a 15-year old Adivasi girl.
According to police, "The parents of the victim complaint that the accused had been sexually abusing their daughter for long. The incident came to their knowledge after the girl attempted to commit suicide on Tuesday. The parents called the child line, which after its primary investigation handed over the case to the police."
"The accused has made attempts for a compromise by offering compensation, but the mother of the victim has insisted on legal proceedings," a source said. The case is under investigation.(UNI)
