Lucknow:Uttar Pradesh Congress legislature party leader Ajay Kumar Lalu has served a show cause notice to rebel party MLA Aditi Singh, who had attended the special session of the state assembly violating the party directive.
Mr Lallu in a show cause notice to Ms Singh on Friday has asked for explanation from her to give reasons for breaking the party's whip and attending the special session of the assembly.
The party has given 2 days time to the MLA to reply, and Lallu said after that party will take appropriate decision .
Ms Aditi Singh, MLA from Rae Bareli, the parliamentary constituency of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, had shocked the party when she boycotted the padyatra led by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Lucknow on October 2 and attended the special session on the same day where she lauded PM Narendra Modi for abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.BJP government in UP immediately after her presence in the special session gave her Y category security.
