Congress prez RaGa turns 49, birthday wishes pour in

New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday turned 49.Greetings poured in from political leaders for the Gandhi scion.

Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and AICC general secretary K C Venugopal greeted Mr Gandhi on his birthday.

He was also greeted by his sister and AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on the occasion,The Congress president celebrated his birthday with party workers at the party headquarters at 24 Akbar road on Wednesday morning .

Mr Gandhi reached the party headquarters in the morning and exchanged sweets with party workers.  He also thanked them for their felicitations to him on his birthday.  ''Thank you all for your best wishes & greetings on my birthday. I'm overwhelmed & grateful for your love & affection,'' he tweeted.(UNI)
