New Delhi: The Indian National Congress released a ‘Black Paper’ against the Narendra Modi government on Thursday titled ‘10 Saal Anyay Kaal’.

The black paper was released by party president Mallikarjun Kharge at his residence here.

Addressing the media, Kharge said, “This Black Paper highlights the failure of the government, which is never spoken about by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and we want the people of the country to know about this.”

He said during the last 10 years, the country has been facing several burning issues, such as unemployment, price rises, and issues with farmers, but the government has never tried to address them.

Kharge said the government never speaks about unemployment, which is being faced by the youth of the country. “The situation is such that even rural unemployment has come down,” he added.

Accusing the government of neglecting the non-BJP-ruled states, the Congress president said, “The government is not releasing funds to those states where they are not in power.”

On the price rise, Kharge asked the government what steps it was taking to control inflation, which was burning the pockets of the common man.

He said prices of essential commodities can be controlled, but the government was intentionally not doing so as it wanted to help some of its friends.

He accused the government of deceiving the farmers by not fulfilling the promise of doubling their income and addressing the MSP issue.

He further added that even agricultural equipment has been brought under the GST ambit.

He also said there is a threat to democracy under the present government.

He alleged that the government is threatening industrialists to get electoral bonds by using agencies such as ED, CBI, and IT. And he said in the last 10 years, the government has toppled several elected governments by poaching MLAs with huge amounts of money.
