New Delhi: A couple from Kashmir, allegedly linked to the Islamic State's module was arrested on Sunday by the Delhi Police from Jamia Nagar in the national capital, the police said.The couple, identified as Jahanzaib Sami and wife Hina Basir Beigh, were arrested this morning, the police said in a statement.
"They were members of banned terrorist outfit ISIS and propagating its ideology of hatred against non-Muslims and to take up violent struggle against the state. The couple was also involved in instigating protests against the new citizenship law," it added.A total of four mobile phones, one laptop, one external hard-disc and other ''incriminating material'' were seized from their house.
According to the police, it has been found that they have created several anonymous Ids on several social media platforms such as Telegram, Facebook, Threema, Sure spot, Instagram, Twitter and others and propagating the ideology of banned ISIS and circulating material against government for enacting Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).Further interrogation is on.(UNI)
