COVID-19: Deaths cross 2k mark, cases close to 63k, 19357 cured so far

New Delhi: With 3277 fresh cases coming up in the past 24 hours, the total number of Novel Coronavirus cases in India climbed close to the 63,000 mark, with the figure standing at 62,939 on Sunday morning, while the fatalities crossed the 2000 mark, as per the Health ministry data.

A total of 128 people have succumbed to the fatal virus in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll across the nation to 2109 so far.

At present, the number of active COVID 19 cases in the country is 41472, with a jump of 1638 freshly added active cases since Saturday.

The COVID recoveries have also seen an improvement. With 1511 cured patients in the past 24 hours, the total number of recovered cases so far across the nation stood at 19357 on Sunday morning, according to the Health Ministry. (UNI)
