Srinagar: Curfew-like restrictions have been imposed on Friday to foil 'Shopian Chalo' called by separatists against death of civilians in security force firing in south Kashmir during the past two weeks.
All roads leading to Shopian have been closed and 'nakas' set up at different places to prevent people from entering the main town, where the separatists had announced to hold a rally after Friday prayers.
Meanwhile, authorities have suspended train service in the Kashmir valley on Friday for security reasons, while the Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) department has postponed interviews which were scheduled to be held today.
