New Delhi: A man posted in the Ministry of Finance as a contractual employee was arrested for alleged espionage activities and for providing classified data to foreign countries in lieu of money, sources said.
The accused, identified as Sumit, was a contractual employee as Data Entry Operator in the Ministry of Finance. He was allegedly involved in espionage activities.
During his cursory search one mobile phone which was being used by him for allegedly sharing secret information related to the Ministry of Finance was recovered from his possession, sources said.
Accordingly, a case has been registered at the Crime Branch Police Station. (UNI)
