Chennai: Deboosting operation to descend the Lander Module (LM) to a lower orbit of the Chandryaan-3 spacecraft was successfully performed at 1600 hrs on Friday.
The Orbit of LM, which got separated from the Propulsion Module (PM) on Thursday, was now reduced to 113 km x 157 km.
The second deboosting operation is scheduled for August 20 early morning around 0200 hrs.
The health of the LM is normal.
In an post on 'X' (formerly tiwtter) ISRO said Chandrayaan-3 Mission: The Lander Module (LM) health is normal."
"LM successfully underwent a deboosting operation that reduced its orbit to 113 km x 157 km.
"The second deboosting operation is scheduled for August 20, 2023, around 0200 hrs IST", ISRO said. (UNI)
