New Delhi: Another bout of heatwave is likely to hit the national capital by Wednesday, and the maximum temperature is likely to touch 44 degree Celsius as per the IMD on Tuesday.
Due to the prevailing conditions the weather agency also sounded a yellow alert as the maximum temperature likely to settle around 44 degrees on May 11.
The IMD, earlier predicted that heatwave conditions will prevail in the national capital from May 11 to May 15 as the maximum temperature is likely to hit 44 degree Celsius.
"On May 14 and May 15 the mercury likely to touch 45 degrees," said IMD. This comes soon after Delhi received rains and hailstorms, bringing down the temperature for a few days.
"The Maximum on Tuesday is likely to settle around 41 degrees" it said, whereas the Minimum temperature in morning (5 :30 AM) was recorded at 28 degrees, three notches above normal. The, relative humidity was recorded at 61 percent.
On Monday the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal for this time of the year. The Minimum temperature settled at 27 .6 degrees Celsius. (UNI)
