New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan surrendered in Jamia Nagar police station on Wednesday in connection with alleged manhandling with Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan reached Jamia Nagar Police Station, and said he has come to surrender.'I have not done anything wrong,' he added.
He has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of destabilising the government.He said the AAP's minister,Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's advisor and workers were also assaulted but no action was taken in this matter.The Delhi Police on Tuesday filed an FIR against Mr Khan and others, on a complaint by Mr Prakash, after he was allegedly manhandled during a midnight meeting at the Chief Minister's residence on Monday.
The complaint has been registered under sections that include assault on public servant, voluntarily causing hurt, obstructing a public servant from performing his duty and others.Police forces were deployed around the house of Mr Khan since Tuesday night. Earlier, In the case of alleged manhandling with Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Prakash Jarwal has been arrested from his residence in Ambedkar Nagar.AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj has confirmed the arrest of the MLA.(UNI)
