Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has recommended a probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly receiving funding for the AAP from the banned extremist organisation Sikhs for Justice (SFJ).

Criticising Reacting to the Lt Governor’s move, AAP Leader Saurabh Bhardwaj asserted that LG is desperately trying to make headlines amid elections.

In a social media post on X, Bhardwaj said, “LG Saab is desperately trying to make headlines during election season. This is a complete misuse of constitutional office of LG.”

The PIL demanding a high-level investigation in same matter was dismissed by HC two years back, he said.

The Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Navin Chawla rejected the plea filed by Jagdish Sharma, stating that it is "completely frivolous', Bhardwaj added.

Bhardwaj further alleged, “LG Saab has earlier asked for CBI investigation into complaint by person like Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who is in jail for duping and cheating people with crores of rupees through his deception and manipulation.”
