Delhi metro breaks through wall during trial run

New Delhi: A driverless Delhi Metro train which was on a trial run broke through a wall at the Kalindi Kunj metro station on Tuesday, of the yet to be operationalized Magenta line, official sources said here.No casualties were reported, according to the officials.Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to inaugurate this section on the route between Botanical Garden and Kalka Ji on December 25.

This was supposed to be the first Metro route where the trains will run driver-less, and will be first of its kind in the country.However, this is the second time that the metro train has met with an accident on the same route during a trial run.On Monday, another trial metro train was derailed on the pink line between Dhaula Kuan and south campus metro station.(UNI)
